CLASS
DESCRIPTIONS |
Beginning
Belly Dance |
This
3-4 week session covers most of the basic moves you may encounter from most
teachers in the Valley. With mostly Egyptian Cabaret influence, you will
learn movements from head slides to hip slides, chest pops to knee shimmies,
from veil play to zil rhythms, from floor movement to a choreographed dance.
Come to class with comfortable clothes, and don't forget your veil and zils! |
Intermediate
Belly Dance |
Each
class is different in the Beginning II/Intermediate class. This is perfect
for those who either like to drop-in for a class, or sign up for the entire
session. More advanced movements, emphasis on technique and combinations,
usage of zils and veils, discovering your own style, and having fun are
the basis of this class. Drop-in for something different and challenging! |
Bellyrobics! |
Bellyrobics!
is a fun-filled, belly dance aerobic workout! Keep your body moving the
entire hour to low-impact moves! As a "dancy" style, Bellyrobics!
is a great cardio workout. This class will give you energy, improve your
health and fitness, and keep you coming back for more! Upbeat music with
Middle Eastern influences keep your energy flowing. Low or high intensity
level is up to you! |
Veil |
Veil
is a terrific way to tone arms while simultaneously feeling beautiful and
graceful! Learn how to wear a veil, hold a veil, execute basic to intermediate
techniques, and play with veil combinations. Veils are provided, but I encourage
you to practice with your own! |
